17:38 — A spontaneous turn of events always seems to surpass any expectations had of squarely-planned trips. Had originally planned to spend the night in Donghae to catch the sunrise, but the subzero temperatures forced a change in plans. Aimless wandering and some Googling brought me to the steps of an “art world” nestled between the East Sea and the mountains. Though I can’t feel any of my extremities, I’m thankful for another sunset and for the sudden drop in temperature that led me to such a delightfully curious place where the smells and sounds of the sea and woods soothe the anxious soul.
